這次的北海道之旅是搭乘星宇航空，在規劃行程時，就打算讓這趟旅程更輕鬆一點，因此特地考慮升級商務艙。主要原因是航程約 4 小時，屬於中距離航班，若能在起飛後好好放鬆、吃頓好餐、甚至稍微躺平休息一下，整體體驗會舒適許多。另外的原因也是在票價部分，飛北海道航線比經濟艙貴大約一萬元，以旅程的品質來說算是可以接受的升級，最後就忍痛奢侈一下，選擇了商務艙。

For this Hokkaido trip we flew with STARLUX Airlines. When planning the itinerary, I wanted to make the journey a little more relaxing, so I specifically considered upgrading to business class. The main reason was that the flight is about 4 hours—a medium-haul route—so being able to fully relax after takeoff, enjoy a nice meal, and even lie down for a rest would make the overall experience much more comfortable. Another reason was the fare: on the Hokkaido route, business class is only about NT$10,000 more than economy, which felt like an acceptable upgrade for the quality of the trip. In the end I gritted my teeth and treated myself to business class.

小樽（Otaru），一座離札幌不遠的小港町，卻有著完全不同的氣氛，這裡保留了許多明治與大正時期的老建築，玻璃工藝、音樂盒、甜點與港灣風光，是構成小樽的四大印象。到了明治時代，日本政府積極推動北海道的開拓與現代化，小樽因為地處札幌與日本海之間的要地，逐漸發展為物資輸入、漁獲輸出與煤炭運輸的重要港口。

Otaru, a small harbor town not far from Sapporo, has a completely different atmosphere. It preserves many old buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras, and glasswork, music boxes, sweets, and harbor scenery make up the four main impressions of Otaru. During the Meiji era, the Japanese government actively promoted the development and modernization of Hokkaido. Because of its strategic location between Sapporo and the Sea of Japan, Otaru gradually developed into an important port for importing goods, exporting seafood, and transporting coal.
