📍 Location & Interior
Vesper is near Sala Daeng BTS Station — about a 3-minute walk from the exit — though the exterior is quite understated and easy to miss. Both indoors and out, the visual style centers on green and blue paired with gold trim, giving off an understated-luxe, British-fashion design feel.
On this day, after finishing dinner nearby, we walked in around 8:30 to see whether there were any seats — luckily there happened to be spots at the bar counter.
The indoor lighting is fairly bright, the space isn't large and there aren't that many seats — mainly the bar counter, small tables by the window, and a sofa area at the back seating about 12–15 people. So on weekends or at peak hours there's a good chance you'll have to wait for a seat.
📜 Menu
This year marks Vesper's 10th anniversary, and the drinks list is the third edition of PEOPLE OF VESPER. The hand-drawn-style menu is full of design flair and quality, featuring 16 signature cocktails.
🍸 Cocktails
THAIBALL
Hendrick’s Gin / Cocchi Americano / Fino Sherry / Ginger / Lemongrass / Cha
Plu Leaf / Soda / Pomelo salad
This cocktail is gin-based and captures the essence of Thai herbs. At first you catch a light botanical aroma; on the palate it's refreshing and easy-drinking, with a gently sweet-tart pomelo note. Enjoyed together with the pomelo salad on top, the flavors are wonderfully layered and full of tropical freshness.
TEABALL
Johnnie Walker Black Label, Apple / Toasted rice / Hojicha Tea / Soda
This is a twist on the highball: besides the whisky base, it adds the richness of hojicha and the sweet aroma of apple. You get whisky aromatics up front, a rich finish with the lingering sweetness of roasted tea, and a hint of toasted rice fragrance at the end — mellow overall and full of character.
GUAVARITA
Don Julio Blanco Tequila / Sake / Guava / Melon / Lemon verbena / Lime / Salt
Tequila-based and combining pink guava with sake, it opens with the fruity aroma of pink guava; on the palate there's a slightly tart melon blend fused with the fragrance of sake, backed by tequila notes that never clash. The balance is well handled — a touch on the tart side, smooth and delicious.
BANGKOKQUIRI
Havana Club Rum / Tom Yum spices / Cucumber Coconut / Lime
Inspired by tom yum soup, this was the most impressive and delicious drink of the night. Rum-based and infused with tom yum spices, it smells of cucumber at first; drinking it feels like a sweet-and-sour tom yum, with coconut milk aromas and a tiny touch of heat on the finish. Well balanced, tasty, and hugely fun and moreish.
The drinks I had at Vesper really suited my taste, and the music and atmosphere were very comfortable. Chatting with the bartender, I learned that one of Vesper's investors is Taiwanese, and he recommended another recently opened bar, 4th Wall — unfortunately this was already the last day of my Bangkok trip, so I'll have to try their other venues next time.

| By the time we left, around 10pm, every seat was taken and plenty of people were waiting outside |
Although Vesper isn't cheap, every drink is of a high standard, and with nine consecutive years on Asia's 50 Best Bars behind it, Vesper is already one of Bangkok's landmark bars. If you're in Bangkok, it's well worth a visit.
