is a Thai restaurant located right next to the Tropical Spice Garden

Since it was almost noon by the time we finished touring the Tropical Spice Garden

we decided to have lunch here first

before heading to our next destination

It's named Tree Monkey

because there are many Dusky Leaf Monkeys in the surrounding trees

Dusky Leaf Monkey (dusky langur)

also called the "spectacled monkey" (that's what the guide at The Habitat Penang Hill called them)

They generally don't bother humans

and won't come snatch food from people

🍽 Setting & Location

The restaurant has a very tropical design

and is divided into an outdoor area and an indoor dining area

The indoor area isn't fully enclosed

it's semi-open

and even built around a big tree

There's also a small service bar

We arrived fairly early

but by the time we were halfway through our meal

the whole restaurant was nearly full

so you can tell business is good here

If you want a sea-view table

you'll probably need to book in advance

The flavors are decent

If you're visiting the Tropical Spice Garden

it's worth stopping by for a meal

but it's probably not worth making a special trip just for this
